Pipe anti-icing equipment for the polar sailing LNG ship
When the ultralow temperature LNG gas passes through the DECK PIPE LINE in order to carry, load and unload, the inside of the PIPE becomes - 163℃ and instant pressure of maximum 10 bars occur. This causes the PIPE to suddenly contract and expand. In case of a long-term polar region staying or sailing LNG carrier, RIME and GLAZEDFROST and etc will generate ice on the sliding part of the PIPE supporting clamp. If it is neglected for a long period of time, the sheet of ice will become very thick and constrain the sliding part of the CLAMP with great strength. This can interfere and add weight to the sliding part of the PIPE LIINE when the LNG is shipping, which will lead to micro cracks. Also, if the weight is repeatedly added, it will eventually lead to fatigue fracture and cause serious damage to the ship.
